Just when it felt like things were getting out of control, I managed to escape reality for a few days. As I am writing this, I am currently in a hotel in Copenhagen, far away from all the troubles that are haunting me in London. It feels good to just get away for a couple of days, even though this escape might turn out to be more exhausting than reality back home.

The one thing that I love about being in Copenhagen right now is that's, although it's not actually home, Scandinavia just feels a bit like home. The culture, the food, the people and the environment. However, I don't have to worry about keeping up appearances and smiles for friends like I would've if I would've gone home to Sweden.

It's also a very beautiful city. It's a city that's both alive and vibrant, but at the same time calm and peaceful as well. I can walk down the street and admire everything that is going on around me, without feeling the stress of all the other people like I do in London.

Today we mostly just arrived at the hotel, chilled out and then went for some nice Vietnamese dinner, and tomorrow we're going to an aquarium before celebrating my grandparents later in the evening. I have no idea what we are going to do on Saturday except for flying back to England, but that's an issue I'm not going to deal with right now.

I hope everyone else is having a nice weekend as well, and don't forget that you deserve to escape your reality for a few days every now and then! Whether it be locking yourself in your apartment to binge the latest Netflix series or traveling out of the country, you should treat yourself!
