There are many reasons that lie behind me doing the #LoveMeChallenge. One of them is that I wasn't sure how to start off this blog and I thought a challenge might be able to help me discover my inner writing passion.
The second reason to why I decided to do this challenge was that I felt that it was much needed during this time in my life. As mentioned in one of my previous posts, I have faced many trials that I have had to overcome and that have made me stronger. I was bullied and sexually harrassed in school, I stressed myself out to the point of mental exhaustion which has led me to being slightly mentally unstable (nothing I am ashamed off, and no one else should be either). I have moved around to different cities and different countries and had to start my life over and over and over again, but the fact that I am still standing strong has taught me one thing: even though I am grateful for the supporting people around me, the only person who can decide how I deal with my challenges is me. I can decide to break down everytime something bad happens to me, or I can look that sucker trial in the eyes and tell it that it's going to have to do better to break this diamond woman.
The last, but definitely not least, reason I decided to do this was because of you. Whoever you are, who is reading this, I wanted to do this for you. Because if you for some reason don't love yourself to the fullest, I am hoping that what I write will change that. I want you to realize that you are the most beautiful person because of your scars and flaws, because of your strengths and voice, because of your mind and personality. You should never let anyone tell you otherwise. You just need to remember what the very wise Friedrich Nietzsche said: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger".
So if you're reading this and feel inspired or confused by what this is all about, don't be afraid to leave a comment with a question or maybe the link to where you are doing the #LoveMeChallenge. I can't wait to see everyone's inspirational stories about loving themselves.
Be kind and love yourself. See you next post.
